The Critical Care Disaster Foundation (CCDF) relief response for the crisis in Nepal has begun. Generous donations of materials from companies such as Ethicon and Select Speciality Hospitals and monetary donations from private individuals have helped the CCDF support a team of intensive care providers to urgently depart for Kathmandu. Drs. Lokendra Thakur and Manoj Mittal are leading the efforts. Dr Thakur practices at Geisinger Medical Center and Dr. Mittal practices at the University of Kansas. They will be working closely with Dr Subhash Acharya at Tribhuvan University teaching hospital and Dr Jay Shah of Patan Academy of Health Sciences in Kathmandu. They will be blogging their experiences. Please feel free to comment on this project.
